Let The Best Golf GPS Units Help Your Game

Golf has been famously described as “A Good Walk Ruined” or some variation on this theme, and if you have ever played a round that was so bad you felt like breaking every Wood into firewood and melting every iron down to be used to make tent stakes then you are ready to look at golf gps units.

As a game that has seen dramatic changes in all areas over the last decade Golf is probably unique in sports that millions of people play. Golf clubs are being made out of the same material that was first used on the space shuttle, and Golf GPS Units are using technology that was originally designed to help the military know where to drop their bombs!

While you may not need to know the best place to drop a bunker buster, it is extremely useful to know how far you are from the green, the hole or even that hidden water trap. Golf gps units offer the help you need to finally keep your balls out of the sand and avoid the water traps.

There is no technology that wull turn you into Tiger Woods (and your wife may be glad of that) but the help youwill get when you start usingĀ  golf gps units on your Golf course will at least help you do a bit better with your beer buddies.

The chances are that if you are reading this then you know your handicap would improve if you started using golf gps units to help know exactly where your ball is lying and how far the spot is where you want it to be.

Golf GPS Units

So the next question is “How do I know which Golf GPS Unit is best for me?”

There are so many variables and so many different thoughts on which unit is the best one that we have collected information and reviews on some of the top brands for you.

Things to think about before buying any of the many Golf GPS Units availabel to you

* Price – This will always be a factor for most of us but shouldn’t be the only factor. You don’t want to save a few dollars but give up to much in other features
* Reliability – This is one of the areas where our Golf GPS Reviews come in so useful, real owners letting you know what they think.
* Course Coverage – Do you only play the same couple of courses? Or are you the wandering golfer, make sure that the model you buy has the courses you play covered.
* Usability-if you are short sighted then you need to make sure you get a GPS Unit with a big screen (and of course use your sight as an excuse for being below par).
*Expandability-can you add courses into the system as new ones are built.

These are just some of the things you should be considering, take as much time as you need to before making a purchase. Any GPS Unit should last you a long time so it is worth buying one that you really like and has all the functionality to grow with you.

It is good for the amateur golfer to know about and use all the great tools available to him. The game for most is all about competition with their golfing buddies and improving their game. A good gps for golf device can help trim strokes off the score.

I am looking for a gps golf screen that i can mount to my golf cart and then plug it into a hand held gps,the bigger screen would be easier to use and still unplug hand held when i play away from my club.

Any suggestions?
